Hello! Now that summer is finally here, it's time for summer festivals in Japan!
 
We'd like to announce a contest with Post Malone, a big-name who will be visiting Japan for the summer festival.
The contest winner’s work will be used as a novelty for promotional purposes in Japan. Don't miss out on this contest with a Grammy-nominated artist that's going to heat up the summer!

Outline

This is a collaborative campaign with Post Malone, an artist from New York, USA, and elu, a digital content sales and portfolio site from Japan.
Post Malone's latest album "Twelve Carat Tooth Ache” is scheduled to be released in Japan in August, and elu is looking for creators to create novelty items to be used for domestic promotion.

    • Illustrations, logos, and graphics, in general, are eligible.
    • You may also draw Post Malone himself.

  • All registered members of elu, both professionals and amateurs, are eligible to apply.
  • Please make sure to register your item as "Not for Sale" when you register your item. Items available for purchase will not be considered for selection.
  • Entry is complete by entering the contest on elu with the hashtag 「#PostMalon DesignContest」 on elu.

  • There is no restriction on whether or not the work is to be published, but it must be an original work of the entry.
  • Secondary works that infringe on the copyrights of other works, or similar works, or those judged as such by the management staff, will be excluded from the selection process without prior notice.
  • Entries that have won awards in other contests or works for which the copyright does not belong to the entrant are not accepted.
  • One person may submit multiple entries.
  • All entries will be considered until 8:59 a.m.JST on Monday, August 1, 2022.
  • The Grand Prize and Excellence Award winners will be used by Universal Music LLC for promotional campaigns for Post Malone. Please be aware that there is a possibility that the winning artwork may be used for purposes other than postcards.
  • Share your entry on your social media and let many people know about your work!
  • We may share your entry on Universal Music's official social media accounts and elu's official accounts.

  • The winning entry will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation by the Universal Music LLC office and elu management.
  • If your Twitter account is private or your DM settings are turned off, you will not be considered for this review. Please make sure to make your account public and your DM settings are turned on.
  • Please note that you will need to submit the following information to Universal Music LLC after receiving the award.

Precautions

  • To participate in this contest, you must agree to elu's Terms of Use and elu’s Privacy Policy. By entering this contest, you agree to all the terms and conditions of this contest.
  • The handling of entries will be according to elu's terms of use and guidelines.
  • We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the selection process.
  • The award may be revoked if any fact is found to disqualify the entrant from the selection process after the completion of this contest.
  • If an entrant causes damage to elu or any other third party as a result of violating these Application Guidelines, the entrant may be required to compensate the company or such third party for such damage.
  • The winner of the competition grants Universal Music LLC a priority right to use (novelty or other commercialization, and sublicensing to third parties) the submitted work at the time of its entry.
  • If an entry is selected as a winner, the winner may not use the winning entry on their own or allow any third party to use the winning entry without the prior written consent of Universal Music LLC.
  • If you are approached by a third party to use your entry before the contest results are announced, please be sure to contact the elu management staff using the Contact Us Form.
  • The winning entry will be published on elu for one year after winning the prize and will be excluded from being removed by the authors themselves.
  • If an entry is selected as a prize winner, the Prize Winner agrees in advance to enter into an agreement with Universal Music LLC regarding the use of the prize-winning work.
